I got an upholsterer to recover my stock seat and backrest. I added 1" foam to each side and 1" on top and got it recovered in leather and put studs on it. It cost $180 Canadian and it's great...no more sore butt !!! and a lot cheaper than buying a new seat. Desperado make a nice one for the Savage, but it's around $250 US......check out the JC Whitney catalogue.
